About this manual

Why this exists

Search any LG error code and you land on ten pages that say the same four sentences: “unplug the appliance, wait one minute, plug it back in.” None of them tell you what the code actually measures, which part reports it, or how to prove the fault before you spend money on a component.

LG WashFix is the opposite of that. Every code entry names the sensor or subsystem that raised it. Every procedure starts with the test that tells you whether to continue, and ends at the point where a multimeter and a wiring diagram become mandatory, because that is an honest place to stop.

How a procedure is written

• Symptom first: what the owner sees, not what the manual calls it.
• Cause tree ordered by probability, not by how interesting the failure is.
• Tools and likely parts listed before step one, so nothing stalls halfway.
• Every step reversible unless it carries a caution band.
• An explicit stop line: the point where the next test needs instruments or a licensed trade.

What we will not do

We do not publish procedures that require breaking a sealed refrigerant circuit, defeating a microwave door interlock, or working on a gas train without certification. Those are not gatekeeping: they are the three jobs where an amateur mistake is measured in hospital visits, not repair bills.

Codes drift between platforms and model years. Everything here is written from field-common behaviour, and every page tells you to confirm against the service manual for your exact model number before ordering a part.
