Who runs this site

LG WashFix (lg-washfix.com) is an independent, informational publication about LG home appliances. It is not affiliated with LG Electronics. Questions about this policy go to bench@lg-washfix.com. That address is also the contact for every request described further down.

What we collect ourselves

Nothing. There are no accounts, no newsletter and no comment system. Reading a page does not create a record on any system we operate; the usage measurement described below is kept by Microsoft.

The contact form is not connected to anything yet and sends nothing. If you email us instead, we keep your message and address for as long as the conversation needs, then delete them. We do not add addresses to any list.

Hosting and server logs

The site is served from the edge network of Cloudflare, Inc. To deliver a page and to defend against abuse, Cloudflare processes the technical data any web request carries: your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. Cloudflare keeps these logs for a short period under its own rules; we see only aggregate counts, never individual visitors.

Usage measurement

We use Microsoft Clarity to see how the pages are used: it records clicks, scrolling and the pages viewed (anything typed into a field is masked), so we can find where a procedure loses its reader and fix it. It sets its own cookies (_clck, _clsk), except on visits from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, where it sets none. Preferences kept in your browser

The light/dark toggle stores one value (lgwf-theme) in your browser’s local storage so the choice survives the next visit. It never leaves your device and it is not a tracking cookie. Clearing site data for this domain removes it.

Fonts

Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. When a page requests them, Google receives your IP address and the usual request headers, as it would for any file fetched from its servers. Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Advertising

LG WashFix uses Google AdSense to show advertisements. Google and other third-party vendors use cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, and comparable identifiers such as the advertising ID on mobile devices, to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and to other websites on the internet.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent message before any personalised ad is loaded. Declining still shows ads, but they are not based on your browsing history. You can change that choice later from the same message, which reappears when you clear the site’s cookies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and comparable laws you may ask what personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its processing, or withdraw a consent you gave. Since we keep nothing beyond the emails you send us, most requests are answered by deleting that correspondence. Write to the address above; you also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Children

This site is written for adults repairing their own appliances and does not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date in the stamp at the top of the page changes with it. There is no notification list, so check here.
